About

Charles J. Homiller, Jr.

After graduating from Hampden-Sydney College in 1997, Charles worked as a paramedic for the City of Richmond for three years.  During that time he helped people who, in many cases, could not help themselves and were at the worst point in their lives.  Working as a first responder taught him how to remain calm under pressure, prioritize emergencies and solve problems creatively.  25 years later, Charles uses those same experiences to help his clients tackle the challenging legal issues that they face every day.

Charles is a graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law. He began his legal career working for a small civil law but soon realized that he wanted to open his own practice.  In December of 2004, Charles established the Homiller Law Firm and focused primarily on criminal, traffic and juvenile defense. Charles now has more than 19 years of legal experience and a vast knowledge of the judicial system in central Virginia.  He regularly represents clients in the counties of Chesterfield, Henrico, Amelia, Powhatan, Goochland, Hanover, Caroline, King William, New Kent, Prince George, Sussex, Greensville, Brunswick and Dinwiddie, as well as the cities of Richmond, Colonial Heights, Petersburg, Hopewell, and Emporia.

For three years straight, Charles was recognized as one of the Virginia Superlawyers Rising Stars for his efforts in DUI and criminal defense work.  Charles is licensed to practice in all Virginia State Courts as well as the District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.  He is a member of the Chesterfield and Richmond Bar Associations, as well as the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and National College for DUI Defense.  He also donates his time to serve as the legal advisor to the Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad in Henrico County.
